CROW MUSEUM - YOGA

SCHOOL VISIT -- CROW MUSEUM 1/20/2015
Today, Suzanne from the Crow Museum visited our classroom to teach us a new YOGA pose and to talk about landscapes. She focused on a beautiful painting with Water (since we are studying water!)
The children learned the Eagle Pose and then worked in groups to make their own landscape (nature) artwork!

We started Suzanne's visit with some YOGA!!!!!

The children then studied the details in this beautiful artwork

Suzanne explained what goes into a landscape picture
and then had the children work in small groups to create their own
landscapes ...

Let's see ... every picture starts with a BLANK SLATE!

This group began with a mountain landscape and then

FIELD STUDY -- CROW MUSEUM
The Manara Academy Kindergarten has been very lucky to have a partnership this year with the Crow Museum. They have provided us with a wonderful addition to our curriculum this year -- Yoga and Art. We do many of the yoga poses during morning meeting and also have studied some wonderful pieces of art.

Here are some pictures from our first Field Study to the Crow Museum ....
